Pamela Kay is a singer with a style all her own - inspirational with a touch of Southern Gospel, a twist of contemporary and the occasional splash of country gospel. But with her rich vocals and strong, emotional lyrics, you will always hear God's promises.

An on-stage singer since she was 4 years old, Pamela Kay is also a trained pianist with an ear for harmonies as well as melody lines. Pamela is married to Bob, the man who is understandably her most avid fan. She does not have any children, but West Highland White Terriers are her passion.

Prior to her solo debut, Pamela Kay was the lead singer for Unity, an inspirational Christian group. With that group, two projects were released - "A Very Personal Love" in 1991 and "My Song in the Night" in late 1993. The sophomore album contained a solo release called "Take Them To Your Heart" written by Russ Hollingsworth which was sent out nationally through Showcase Media for radio play. It was mildly successful - which says much about the quality of both the artist and the song when they are each unknown.

In 1996, she embarked on a solo career and has released three projects - "Heart Notes" (1996), "Hold Fast" (1998), and "Three Nails" (2002). From these, many songs have been released to medium/heavy airplay both in the United States and internationally. Higgins Music Group, Nashville, Tennessee, released "Heaven Is A Wonderful Place", "The Greatest Miracle", "Down on My Knees" and "Preaching of the Cross". "Grandma's Rocking Chair" was released through Glory Train Records to both the United States and Europe and hit #34 of the International Gospel Chart. "Subject to Change" was released also through Glory Train Records and went #27 on the International Gospel Chart (although it went to #1 in Belgium). In August of 2001, a Southern Gospel favorite from "Hold Fast" entitled "There Is a Savior In The House" was released and went to #3 on the International Gospel Chart and stayed for three months in the top ten before beginning its climb into the U.S. Gospel News Chart during 2002. This song was so popular with DJ's and listeners that it won Pamela the "Female Artist of the Year - Gospel Division" with the Tennessee Country Music Alliance in 2002.

During April 2002, a very different type of project was released by Pamela called "Three Nails". Produced by Beau Garrett in Nashville, Tennessee, it contains the music of some incredible songwriters and well-known musicians such as Dwain Rowe, Chas Williams, Jim Unger, T.J. Klay and Mike Kennedy to name a few. Songs like "In the Twinkling of An Eye" and "Three Nails" and "All Because of Love" which quickly became favorites.

After a 5 year break in production, Pamela has just completed a new project called "Island of Refuge". The biggest difference in this project is that most of the songs are her originals. Once again, she went to Beau Garrett in Nashville, Tennessee, for this production but this time she included Razzy's Hit House where Razzy Bailey, a well-known country artist and producer, collaborated on the project. Some songs to watch for will be "This Is The Day", "Because He Loved Me" and "He Says I Love You". This project goes from contemporary to youth to pure country all in 10 songs. Watch the website for a preview song or two!

Pamela Kay has been recognized by two different Mayors of the City of Columbus, Ohio Senator Ben Espy, and Ohio House of Representatives Otto Beatty, Jr., for her work in the field of gospel music. In addition, she has received awards for her musical contributions from S.T.A.A., Ameriflora '92 and the Tennessee Country Music Alliance. She has made many personal appearances throughout the Eastern United States including Renfro Valley, the Ohio State Fair and numerous county fairs, camp meetings, and revivals in addition to her concert work. Pamela Kay records monthly for the Country Gospel Time on TV-39 in Ohio. She has also had the opportunity to perform twice on board a Holland America cruise ship, sing with Hosanna Integrity's choir, and work as a studio singer in Nashville, Tennessee.

Pamela Kay has worked with Scott Fowler and Roger Bennett (The Cathedral Quartet and Legacy Five) in the production of her second project with Unity called "My Song in the Night."
